Summary

There are multiple teaching opportunities in Germany.

Description

Areas of need: 

  • Teaching English as a Second Language in grades 5-10 ( a teaching certificate for Jr High is sufficient since it is an ESL classroom)
  •  English Lit and Composition in grades 11-13.
  • Spanish as a foreign language grades 7-12
  • Music
  • Art
  • Athletics
  • Computer Science

Other responsibilities and opportunities:

  • subbing
  • field trips
  • recess
  • after school clubs (beekeeping, gardening, chess, choir, instruments, drama, sewing, dance, photo and film, art, . . . )
  • classroom assistant for IEP students
  • tutoring
  • chapel services
  • community outreach
  • camp

A language assistant would be expected to attend German classes at the community college to learn or improve their German. 

A teacher with a European C1 equivalent certification in German and a MA in any subject would qualify for a German teaching certificate and full pay with benefits.
